The Meaning

Kizenya (季然屋) is a name we created by combining three Japanese characters:

  • 季 (Ki) represents the changing seasons, reflecting the natural rhythm of life.
  • 然 (Zen) embodies nature as it is, simplicity, and authenticity.
  • 屋 (Ya) – meaning "house" or "shop," a place where things happen or are shared.

Together, 季然屋 means “a shop of natural seasons”, a space where the beauty of nature and the flow of time inspire everything we offer. 

We also wish to convey another meaning: "tea for the season". For centuries, both tea masters and everyday enthusiasts have honored this tradition, a cherished ritual that reminds us to live in harmony with nature and foster meaningful connections with those around us.
