Our matcha comes from Kagoshima, located at the southern tip of Japan’s Kyushu Island. Known for its rich volcanic soil, ocean breezes, and abundant sunshine, this region offers ideal conditions for growing exceptional tea.
Grow with nature
The tea plants grow in mineral-rich volcanic ash soil, nourished by rainfall and sea air from the East China Sea. This unique terroir enhances natural sweetness and depth of flavor.
Farms in Kagoshima lead the way in organic and sustainable cultivation, using eco-friendly practices and careful quality control to ensure clean, high-quality matcha in every batch.

Kizenya matcha is a blend of cultivars, rather than a single-cultivar or single-estate matcha. It’s crafted by a Kyoto-based producer who sources tencha leaves from a farm in Kagoshima and carefully blends them to create the final product.
(*Blending is a highly skilled process that requires deep expertise. By combining different tencha sources, the tea master is able to create a more layered, complex, and well-balanced flavor profile.)

Mijn dochter heeft deze matcha meegenomen om te proberen. Dit is een van de lekkerste matcha’s die dat ik heb geproefd. Heeft geen bittere nasmaak en lekker met en zonder aroma. Ik zal het zeker aanraden
Dit is de eerste matcha die ik heb geprobeerd die niet zo sterk en bitter is. Juist van smaak verfijnd en kwaliteit. Is zeker een aanrader als je matcha wilt drinken die perfect gaat met een romig melk of havermelk

This is my new go-to matcha. It’s soft but actually very rich in flavour, and not bitter at all! It really took me a long time to find a good one, and with the shaker I prepare it super easily to take to work in the morning. Love it!
