Our matcha comes from Kagoshima, located at the southern tip of Japan’s Kyushu Island. Known for its rich volcanic soil, ocean breezes, and abundant sunshine, this region offers ideal conditions for growing exceptional tea.

The tea plants grow in mineral-rich volcanic ash soil, nourished by rainfall and sea air from the East China Sea. This unique terroir enhances natural sweetness and depth of flavor.

Kizenya matcha is a blend of cultivars, rather than a single-cultivar or single-estate matcha. It’s crafted by a Kyoto-based producer who sources tencha leaves from a farm in Kagoshima and carefully blends them to create the final product.
